Shin Shin Aikido Summer School

Join us for five days of immersive Ki Aikido training at the 2026 Summer School — a unique opportunity to develop your practice in a focused, supportive, and inspiring environment.

Open to all members of the Shin Shin Aikido Association — from beginners to senior grades — Summer School brings together practitioners from dojos across the country for an intensive programme of training, learning, and connection.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your basics, challenge yourself with new material, prepare for grading, or simply enjoy a week of Aikido surrounded by positive, like-minded people, Summer School offers a welcoming and rewarding experience for all.

Across the week, you can expect:

  • Daily Ki Development training looking more deeply into mind and body coordination

  • Grading Opportunities gives the chance for eligible students to take Kyu and Dan gradings.

  • Daily Ki Aikido practice offering a detailed exploration of the principles and techniques of Ki Aikido.

  • Improvement through repetition, with space to refine techniques in depth.

  • High Grade Sessions for advanced students (blue belt and above).
  • Relaxed social time, informal discussions, and the chance to build friendships within the wider community.
